In fact, there are many health benefits associated with drinking this natural beverage. It’s also an excellent alternative to store-bought bottled spring waters because it doesn’t contain any added chemicals or preservatives.

Aside from the pure joy of using rosewater in recipes for eating, drinking and beauty care; rosewater also has medicinal qualities.

Used as a nutrition benefit herb, roses have a cooling effect on the body and can be used to reduce fevers and inflammation.

The following article will tell you everything you need to know about how to prepare palatable rosewater nutritional drink. You’ll learn: • How to get started making your own rosewater

• What ingredients you should have on hand

• The best ways to enjoy this delicious beverage

There are a few methods for making rosewater—some more complicated than others. The easiest way I know, is essentially making tea from the petals. It’s a simple and fast way to process your crop without a lot of fuss.

Here is how to do it.

1) Get Started Making Your Own Rose Water

You can easily start making your own rosewater by simply harvesting some fresh petals from your favorite roses. Simply cut off all the leaves and flowers so only the stems remain. Then place them into a glass jar filled with clean tap water.

These are the easiest to collect. Plus, you’ll still get to enjoy looking at your rosebush longer this way.

2) Strain rose water juice

Once you’ve filled a quart-sized mason jar with rose petals from your bush, place them in a strainer and shake them out over your kitchen sink. Inspect your petals for dirt and bugs.

Skip to the next step if they are clean.

Add 1 cup of filtered water to each quart-sized Mason Jar and fill it up halfway with fresh rose petals. Place the lid on top and leave overnight or at least 8 hours. The longer you let this sit, the more potent the drink will be.

The next day, strain the mixture through cheesecloth into another bowl. This removes most of the pulp and sediment while leaving behind the beautiful liquid known as rosewater.

After steeping overnight, strain the mixture and discard your petals.

Next, I fill ice cube trays with my rosewater to save for later. I pop them in my drinking water or tea, add them to smoothies or wrap them with gauze and use them as a cold compress for inflamed skin.

You can also drink this as a medicinal tea with or without honey, as a fever reducer or overall anti-inflammatory tonic, as stated above.

It will keep for several months in the freezer and about 10 days in the refrigerator.

If you are looking for a more aromatic rosewater for cooking or beauty products, I would suggest looking into the distillation method.

It’s important to note that your rosewater will be different depending on the type and color of your rose.

3) Add sugar and lemon juiceto your Palatable Rosewater Nutritional Drink.

Next, add 2 cups of granulated white sugar. Stir well, l then squeeze half a lemon into the mix. Let it steep for 10 minutes before serving.

4) Serve chilled or at room temperature with ice cubes. Enjoy!

Now that you’ve made your first batch of rosewater, try adding other flavors like vanilla extract, orange peel, cinnamon sticks, mint sprigs, etc.

If you want to keep things interesting, experiment with different types of sugars such as raw honey, brown rice syrup, maple syrup, agave nectar, molasses, coconut palm sugar, date sugar, etc. 5) Store leftover rosewater

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator. If you don’t use it right away, it may last several weeks.

5) Make extra batches.

This recipe makes enough for one large pitcher full. But feel free to make multiple smaller pitchers for yourself and friends. Just remember to adjust the amount of sugar accordingly.

I’ve been making this drink since I was a kid, but it has evolved over time as my taste buds have matured. It is still very much like what I grew up with – just better! And now that I am an adult, I can enjoy it without feeling guilty about how many calories are in there. This is definitely not your typical “healthy” beverage.

6) Use rosewater in cooking, baking & beauty.

Rosewater adds flavor to foods and beverages.

It is used as a flavoring agent for sweets, cakes, cookies, ice cream, sherbets, etc. It can be added directly to the food or it may be mixed with other ingredients before adding them into the dish.

Add rose water to your bath/shower gel.

Use it as a hair conditioner and leave in for 5 minutes before rinsing out with warm water.

Make an herbal tea by steeping 1 teaspoon of dried rose petals, 2 teaspoons of fresh or dry rose leaves, 4 cups of boiling water and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain the liquid through cheesecloth into another container. This is called “Rose Petal Tea”.

Make homemade face masks using rose petals.

Rose water is a natural remedy for many skin conditions, including acne and psoriasis. It can also be used as an ingredient in beauty products such as moisturizers or body lotions to help keep your skin soft and supple.

To make the mask: Place 1 tablespoon of dried rose petal powder into a bowl with enough warm water to cover it by about 2 inches. Let sit overnight so that the rose petals absorb all the moisture from the water.

Mix rose oil with honey and apply to the skin.
